established the Soaring Eagle Group in late 1986, after leaving Burson
Marsteller, then the world's largest public relations firm. HISTORICAL LOOK AT SOARING EAGLE GROUP - here's a quick look at some of the twenty-some years between then and now. Soaring Eagle Group and its components While the Soaring Eagle name is not used anymore, we still work with one of our early associates, Brian Harrison Smith. Brian Smith, a teacher at York University's Schulich School of Business, is also a business management coach, and a facilitator of "work-outs." A work out is a single or several meetings where he acts as an intermediary, helping teams of people, from either one organization or two or more, solve a major problem. He works with Soaring Eagle Group on corporate transformations, and on linkages between sales and public relations and corporate communications issues and opportunities. Here's his web site. I wrote and designed this site. |

Who I am and how
I got here![]() Brian A. Kilgore click for complete c.v. I've been a professional communicator since high school, when I worked as a photographer for the Moncton Times and Transcript, and as a reporter / freelancer for The Globe and Mail and the Toronto Telegram through high school and university. After university, I became a reporter - photographer for Thomson newspapers, and then joined McLean - Hunter, working in advertising and editorial capacities. I entered the PR business in 1970 with a major consulting firm, worked for several consultancies, and then joined Northern Telecom, now Nortel Networks, as Director of Public Relations / Public Affairs for almost a decade. I went to the carrier side of the telecommunications industry, running the Corporate Communications Department at CNCP Telecommunications (now AT&T Canada) before returning to consulting, with Burson - Marsteller, the world's largest PR firm. Soaring Eagle Group / Brian A. Kilgore Communications Consulting was established in 1986. In addition to providing a broad range of corporate communications consulting services, I also do a lot of photography, and have begun creating web sites. |
